My name is David MacIntosh and this is my personal web site. Salm, the title of the website, means life in Korean. The cultural connection is through my wife, her family, and our kids.
This blog is a place for me to make note of topics encountered in my life and to share them. Many of the posts that appear here are related to my profession while others are personal interests that are fun for me to write a bit about.
As indicated above, I am a husband and father, and also an environmental health scientist. I am Chief Science Officer at Environmental Health & Engineering, an employee-owned consulting firm founded in 1987. I am also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health where I teach a course in human exposure assessment each fall semester. My areas of expertise include human health risk analysis, toxicology, industrial hygiene, exposure assessment, biostatistics, and carbon management.
